Meuwissen - Sinner
Alyssa Sinner, daughter of Phil and Mary Kay Sinner of Renville, MN, and Joshua Meuwissen, son of Paul and Laurie Meuwissen of Lonsdale, MN, were married Saturday, May 25, 2013, at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in New Prague, with Pastor Diane Goulson officiating.
The bride was escorted by her father. Megan Sinner of St. Louis, MO, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Erica Sinner of Collegeville, MN, sister of the bride, Lindsay Meuwissen of Sioux Falls, SD, sister of the groom, Molly McCue of Brooklyn Park and Amy Vander Heiden of Melrose.
Ben Dresow of Duluth was best man. Groomsmen were Ryan Rancour of Iowa City, IA, Bryan Wachter of St. Louis Park, MN, Ted Kain of St. Cloud, MN, and John Beumer of Minneapolis, MN.
Ushers were Will Newkirk of Tulsa, OK, and Matthew Peckskamp of Milwaukee, WI.
The service began with a solo ensemble of former members of the St. John’s University Men’s Chorus, which included the groom, Chris Mueller of Dellwood, MN, Paul Vanasse of Wilson, WI, Andrew Honzay of Collegeville, MN, Andy Wisniewski of Tokyo, Japan, Ted Kain of St. Cloud, MN, and Andy Sietz of St. Paul, MN. Solos for the service included Rita Sapp of New Prague, a duet by Ted Kain and Molly McCue, and Megan and Erica Sinner accompanied by their father Phil on guitar. Readers included Angie Ebben of Coon Rapids, MN, and Sister Donna Wermus of Renville, MN.
Following the service, a reception, dinner and dance were held at the Park Ballroom in New Prague. Grandparents of the groom are Ken and Bertha Numedahl and Donna Meuwissen and the late Joe Meuwissen. Grandparents of the bride are Rita Evans and the late Robley Evans, and Karen Sinner and the late David Sinner.
The couple spent a week by Lake Michigan before returning to the University of Minnesota, where both are beginning their second year as graduate students. Alyssa is pursuing a Ph.D. in Child Psychology and Josh is pursuing a DPT in Physical Therapy. The couple resides in Northeast Minneapolis.
