Mildred Bohnsack, 80
Mildred L. Bohnsack, 80, of New Prague, died Thursday, Aug. 30, 2007, at Queen of Peace Hospital in New Prague.
Born June 29, 1927, in Derrynane Township, Le Sueur County, Mildred was a daughter of August and Martha (Schultz) Meyer. She attended Le Sueur County Country School and was a lifelong resident of the New Prague area. She married Norbert F. Bohnsack on June 14, 1950, at Friedens Lutheran Church, Lanesburgh. Mildred was a homemaker and a member of the Friedens Lutheran Ladies Aid and the Friedens Church Choir.
She is survived by seven children, Linda (Edmund) Pint, New Prague, Connie (Robert) Rudolph, Brown Deer, WI, Marlene (Patrick) Sloan, Ridgefield, CT, Fredrick (Lori) Bohnsack, Belle Plaine, Mary (Joseph) Kramer, Olathe, KS, Richard (Cheryl) Bohnsack, Milwaukee, WI, and Roger (Cheryl) Bohnsack, New Prague; 15 grandchildren; one great-grandson; a brother, Milton (Louise) Meyer, Montgomery; and two sisters, Opal (George) Hartwig, Le Center, and Elaine Stauff, Kilkenny.
She was preceded in death by her husband on July 8, 2007; her parents; and siblings, Valdeen Tuma, Fred Meyer and Donald Meyer.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 1, at Friedens Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lanesburgh, with Rev. Marcus Richter officiating.
Interment was at Friedens Lutheran Cemetery, Lanesburgh. Pallbearers were nephews and grandsons, Les Hartwig, Carl Stauff, Ron Tuma, Bob Wieland, Leon Bohnsack, Dallas Bohnsack, Jim Grassmann, Jeremy Sloan, Jeffrey Kramer, Nick Rudolph, Mike Rudolph and Cole Bohnsack.
Visitation was held from 12 noon until 2 p.m. Saturday at Friedens Church.
Arrangements were with Bruzek Funeral Home in New Prague.
