Army National Guard Spec. Amie L. Simon Rudd
has arrived in Iraq at a forward operating base to support the mission of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Spec. Rudd will provide security in the theater of operations for the next 12 months. Army National Guard and some Reserve troops from various states and units have deployed to augment or replace troops serving in Iraq.
Simon Rudd is a human resources specialist with six years of military service. She is the daughter of Dale S. and Deb L. Simon of New Prague. Her husband, Shawn, is the son of Bruce Rudd of Lakeville and Trudy Jahnke of Rosemount. The specialist graduated in 2000 from New Prague High School, and received a bachelor's degree in 2005 from St. Cloud State University.
Army National Guard Sgt. Steven R. Tuma

Tuma, a military police sergeant, is the son of Ray and Lois Tuma of Lonsdale. He is a 2001 graduate of New Prague High School.
