Ryan R. Bruzek has been promoted to the rank of sergeant in the United States Marine Corps at Camp Pendleton, CA. He has been stationed in Okinawa since November, 2005, where he received the Good Conduct Medal. Prior to that, he had served in Fallujah, Iraq, with the 1st Marine Division, Alpha Company. He is a 2001 graduate of Montgomery-Lonsdale High School and attended the Art Institute International before leaving for the Marine Corps on November 11, 2002. He is the son of David and Elizabeth Bruzek of Montgomery and grandson of Alice Bruzek of New Prague. He will be reunited with his wife, Kimberly, of Montgomery, in September.
