Airman Eric Grabosky recently graduated with honors from BMT (Basic Military Training) at Lackland Air Force Base (AFB), San Antonio, TX. Only 10 percent of the trainees graduate with honors. Grabosky is now stationed at Keesler AFB in Biloxi, MI, for Phase II, which is for technical training in his speciality of computer avionics working on the A10 Thunderbolt. He is the son of Bill and Sheila Grabosky of New Prague and a 2008 graduate of New Prague High School.

Airman Lucas C. Jensen graduated from basic military training at Lackland AFB, San Antonio, TX. The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.

Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

He is the son of Chuck and Vicki Jensen of Elko New Market and a 2008 graduate of New Prague High School.
