Minar family honored with Good Farm Neighbor Award
Patrick Fisher, Staff Writer
Being a good neighbor and steward of the land are qualities people look for. Recently the Minar family of rural New Prague was honored by the Minnesota Department of Agriculture for those traits.
Dave and Florence Minar, who operate Cedar Summit Farm, north of New Prague, were presented with the Good Farm Neighbor Award. The Minars are a third-generation farm family who operate a certified organic, grass-based creamery.
I'm happy today to present this award
