Minnesota’s precinct caucuses set for Tuesday

Chuck Kajer, Managing Editor

Minnesota will hold precinct caucuses Tuesday, March 7 across the state.

Precinct caucuses are politics at the grassroots level. Each major political party uses the caucus system to choose delegates for county or district conventions. Caucuses are also the first step in choosing candidates for the November election.

Caucuses are local meetings of political parties. Those who attend caucuses select delegates for the party endorsement conventions and discuss issues.
