Miss Czech Slovak MN crowns new princess
The Miss Czech Slovak MN organization crowned a new Princess on Thursday, June 9 when Miss Congeniality Autumn Gare received the additional crown and title of Miss Czech Slovak MN Princess.
Gare received the Miss Congeniality title in the state pageant in Montgomery on April 9. She joined the new court of Queen Alexa Turgeon of Lonsdale, and Princess Madison Jerde of Golden Valley. Jerde had been the outgoing Princess, who had competed again in the pageant and received the same title and position.
In a special ceremony, the Miss Czech Slovak MN Board of Directors crowned Gare the Princess after Jerde had stepped down from the role. As a result Gare will wear both sashes and the crown of her choice at events. She will also be eligible for scholarships for both titles.
“Autumn will now hold both titles and will continue to represent the state of MN and her hometown of Montgomery, as the 2016-2017 Miss Czech Slovak MN Princess and Miss Congeniality,” said board member Kendra Bisek. “Please join us in welcoming and congratulating Autumn on her new title. We look forward to seeing her and the current Miss Czech Slovak MN Queen Alexa Turgeon, at many events over the next year.”
Gare said she was very excited at receiving the additional title and for what the year has to bring. Her first appearance in dual roles is the Waterville Bullhead Days coronation and parade this weekend. After that, they will attend the Miss Czech Slovak Wisconsin pageant and event from June 17 to 19.
