MN Czech Country Expo is Sunday

The Minnesota Czech Country Expo on Sunday, March 29, will offer entertainment and information about area organizations and businesses. The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the New Prague Area Community Center, 100 12th St. NW, across from New Prague High School.

The annual free event allows people to see the latest products and services offered by various businesses and organizations from New Prague, Montgomery and the surrounding communities. This year, 62 vendors will be participating, ranging from home furnishings, designers, clubs and local theater companies.

Entertainment at the Expo includes the Domaci Czech Youth Dancers, Center Stage Dance, Ovations Dance Company and New Prague Dance Company. Also, Schoenbauer's Country Corral will have a petting zoo.

Prizes and giveaways will be offered throughout the day. This year $50 will be awarded to the 500th, 1,000th, 1,500th and 2,000th visitor to the Expo. People can donate non-perishable food items and register to win two tickets to the Chanhassen Dinner Theatre.

The event is sponsored by the New Prague Chamber of Commerce, the Montgomery Community Club and Mobilize Montgomery.
