A moment in history

A steady footfall of one step following another could be felt by some and heard by more on Saturday, April 14. The rhythmic steps were part of the New Prague Fire Department Precision Marching Drill team's performance at the Park Ballroom. It was just one part of the department's annual dance and drill, both more than a century old.

To put that in perspective, the dance started six years before Thomas Edison had the first public showing of his kinetoscope, a precursor to the movies, in 1894.
