Monica V. Kimmet, 91

Monica V. Kimmet, 91, of New Prague, formerly of Montgomery, died Sunday, March 6, 2005 at Queen of Peace Hospital in New Prague.

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 11 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Scholastica Catholic Church in Heidelberg, with Rev. Richard Roedel officiating.

Interment will be at St. Scholastica Catholic Cemetery in Heidelberg. Pallbearers will be Jason Moudry, Tom Ginter, Roger Velishek, John Pan, Ed Segna and Joe Schatz.

Visitation will be held Thursday, March 10 from 4 to 9 p.m. at Schoenbauer Funeral Home in Montgomery.

Born January 10, 1914 in Derrynane Township, Le Sueur Co., Monica was a daughter of Paul and Mary (Brzezinskey) Ginter. She attended country school and married John O. Kimmet on October 4, 1946 at St. Scholastica Church in Heidelberg. She lived in the Montgomery area all her life, was a homemaker and helped her husband farm and run the mink ranch. She was a member of the St. Scholastica CCW, enjoyed flower gardening, playing bingo and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by two sons, Kenny Kimmet of Le Center and Terry (Elaine) Kimmet of Le Center; three granddaughters, Christine (Jason) Moudry of Cottage Grove, Wisc., Jacqueline and Jennifer Kimmet of Le Center; great-granddaughters, Kaitlyn and Shaelyn Moudry of Cottage Grove, Wisc.; a sister-in-law, Catherine Ginter of New Prague; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John O. Kimmet in 1991; a sister, Barbara Kocina; and four brothers, Jack, Sylvester, Joe and Frank Ginter.
