More Trojan teams get started this week

Several New Prague High School sports teams were scheduled to begin their seasons in the coming week.

The Trojan boys basketball team will open at Waseca Saturday, Dec. 4, before traveling to Mankato West Tuesday, Dec. 7. Their first home game is Friday, Dec. 10, against Faribault.

The New Prague High School wrestling team opens its season Saturday with the New Prague Invitational, starting at 9 a.m. The six-team round robin tournament includes Chatfield, Eagan, Cannon Falls, St. Peter and Waseca. The Trojans will wrestle in a triangular at Delano along with Watertown-Mayer on Thursday, Dec. 9.

The Trojan dance team will take part in the Apple Valley Invitational Saturday, Dec. 4. They will also perform at halftime of the boys basketball game Friday, Dec. 10.
