New head softball coach named at NPHS
Nat Wagner has accepted the varsity softball coaching position at New Prague High School, according to Activities Director Brad Skogerboe.
Wagner served as an assistant coach at the University of St. Thomas in St Paul last season. Previously, he worked as an assistant varsity coach at Hopkins High School and at the Blake School in Hopkins.
In addition to his experience at the high school and college level, Wagner continues to teach and coach with the Minnesota Renegades fastpitch club and through clinics throughout the state.
Since arriving in Minnesota in 2004, Nat has also taught at the Blake School in Minneapolis. A 1992 graduate of Carleton College, Nat earned his M.A. at the University of Michigan in 1995 and continues to pursue further graduate studies at Minnesota State University, Mankato. He lives in St. Louis Park with his wife Christy and three children, - Samantha (13), Tommy (11), and Clare (7).
