New Prague teen in coma following crash
A New Prague High School senior is in a coma in a Twin Cities hospital following a two-car crash near the intersection of Scott County Road 27 and 230th Street Wednesday, Aug. 4.
Ryan Mamer, son of Gary and Kelly Mamer of New Prague, was a passenger in a car that was struck by another vehicle at that intersection. He suffered two broken legs and other injuries, and was airlifted from the scene to North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale.
Mamer was conscious at the scene, but according to his father, Ryan later went into a coma due to a fat embolism
