New Prague teen making 'remarkable' recovery from crash injuries

A little more than two months ago Ryan Mamer was looking forward to his senior year in high school. But on the evening of August 4, things changed.

Mamer was a passenger in a car that was struck broadside. Both his legs were broken, and there were other injuries, including a head injury.

At the time, doctors were cautious, not wanting to give his family, parents Gary and Kelly and sister Ashley, any false hopes, but also not wanting them to fear the worst.
