New Prague Veterans Memorial Project plans fundraiser

Over the last few years, meetings have been taking place for the planning of the New Prague Veterans Memorial. A committee has been established and is meeting on a regular basis to move this project forward. Members of the committee have met several times with the New Prague City Council and the Park Board and are tentatively planning the building of the memorial along with the 2020 street project. The proposed site will be next to the New Prague Library and the proposed size of the memorial will be 52 feet x 52 feet.

Fundraising has already begun with the sales of Memorial T-Shirts and Koozies. The first big fundraising event will be on Saturday, Feb. 10, 2018. at the Park Ballroom. This fundraiser will feature eight different bands playing a variety of music for all ages! Presale tickets will be available in December. The actual times of this event have not yet been established, more information will follow in The New Prague Times and on KCHK radio.

T-Shirts and Koozies will be available for sale during the American Legion Post 45 Steak Fry the second Thursday of each month from 5-7 p.m. The Legion will also be selling them just before their general membership meeting the third Tuesday of each month from 6-7 p.m.
