New Prague woman killed in fire
A rural New Prague woman died in a housefire northeast of New Prague early Sunday morning.
New Prague Fire Chief Jerry Novak said the department was called to the blaze at 3 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 28. Reports say the house was engulfed in flames on their arrival.
After the fire was extinguished, firefighters found a body in the home. The fire remains under investigation and the Scott County Sheriff's Office is investigating the fire. Family members say the body was that of 52-year-old Louise America.
