New Prague's Mitch Paradise will headline hometown wrestling card

Pro Wrestling America, a promotion operated by legendary wrestling trainer Ed Sharkey, will be in New Prague on Friday, July 9, with a six-card match at the New Prague Area Community Center.

Mark Simon, Lonsdale-area resident who has worked part-time as a promoter for PWA since the 1980s, is putting together the card, which features hometown superstar Mitch Paradise.

Paradise, known locally as Dan Michel, is a New Prague native who has been wrestling professionally for nearly 10 years. He is the current PWA champion and has also held the championship belt in a number of other area promotions.
