Noreen Schleis, 74
Noreen Ann Schleis, 74, of Montgomery, died Sunday, Oct. 16, 2011, at the North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale.
Noreen was born on April 9, 1937, in St. Paul, a daughter of Joseph and Marcella (Mainz) Herschbach. She worked at St. Paul Insurance Company before her marriage, and then at Green Giant Company in Montgomery. Noreen married Jerome Schleis in St. Paul on April 16, 1966. She was a member of the Holy Redeemer CCW, and enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, biking, traveling, going to the casino and going for coffee.
She is survived by her husband; children Thomas (Denise) Schleis, Isanti, Kathy (Bob) Burrell, Olympia, WA, Darlene (Shane) Lines, Bloomington, Denise (Bob) Wald, Plymouth, and Margaret (Chris) Coley, Brooklyn Park; and two sisters Marlene Wacker, St. Paul, and Eunice Sobolewski, St. Paul.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be held at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Montgomery on Thursday, Oct. 20, at 11 a.m.
Burial is at St. John Catholic Cemetery in Montgomery.
Visitation was held at Schoenbauer Funeral Home in Montgomery on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m., and also at the funeral home on Thursday one hour prior to the services.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to American Lung Association.
