NPFD responds to fiery crash

Members of the New Prague Fire Department extinguished a fire in a pickup truck in a field just east of New Prague Saturday evening, July 13. The truck was believed to be part of a three-vehicle crash that occurred near the intersection of Highway 13/19 and 141st Ave in Le Sueur County, next to New Prague Chevrolet shortly after 9 p.m. The truck ended up in a field northwest of the intersection. When firefighters arrived the vehicle was fully engulfed. No one was believed to be inside the vehicle. At least one person from the crash was taken to Mayo Clinic Health System Hospital in New Prague. The Minnesota State Patrol is investigating the crash.
