The Minnesota Army National Guard's Company A, 434th Main Support Battalion, has been deployed and is heading to Iraq. The company was sent off in a deployment ceremony in November, held at Little Falls High School.

Capt. Jack Joubert, a New Prague High School graduate, is the company commander for the 150 soldiers in the unit.

Several speakers were part of the program, including Joubert, First Lady Mary Pawlenty, Major. General Larry Shellito and Gov. Tim Pawlenty.

Gov. Pawlenty presented a Minnesota State Flag to Joubert, with instructions to bring it with them to remind unit members where they came from. He concluded by saying, And then bring it back to me
