NPMS band members perform at festival
Twenty-two New Prague Middle School band students traveled to West Concord February 3 to participate in the Middle Level Solo and Ensemble Festival. These sixth-, seventh- and eighth-grade band students spent about a month and a half preparing their solos and small group ensembles. Each entrant performed for a judge and was rated on a wide variety of performance factors.
Two groups and one solo received the Best in Site award. This award was given to those soloists and ensembles the judges thought had done an exemplary job. The following soloists and ensembles received Best in Site: Brady Syde-eighth-grade drum set solo, Aly Jo Hoffman and Rena Weis-sixth-grade alto saxophone duet, and the eighth-grade percussion ensemble of David Puente, Syde, Landon Schaeffer, Tannor Court and Aaron Hendrickson.
