One hospitalized in fire south of New Prague - UPDATE
A New Prague woman was hospitalized for burns to her hands, forearms and back following a house fire south of New Prague Monday morning, March 11.
Juanita Glynn, 60, was taken by North Ambulance to Mayo Clinic Health System in New Prague, and from there was taken by air ambulance to Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis.
According to the Le Sueur County Sheriff's Office, a call was received at 7:52 a.m. from a neighbor, who reported that Glynn had escaped from her home and drove to his house after fire broke out at the home on Shady Lane, in Lanesburgh Township.
The New Prague Fire Department was called to the scene, and received help from tanker trucks from the Montgomery and Lonsdale fire departments. The home was located about three-quarters of a mile north of 300th Street, and tanker trucks were lined up along that road. Only one tanker was sent in at a time along the long, narrow road.
Firefighters remained on the scene until about 1:30 p.m. The dwelling was reported to have moderate damage to the inside of the house.
