Paul Marek, 48

Paul R. Marek, 48, of Montgomery, died Sunday, Dec. 16, 2007, at Queen of Peace Hospital in New Prague.

Paul was born September 13, 1959, in New Prague, a son of Rodney and Marcella Sally (Hensler) Marek. He graduated from Montgomery High School in 1978 and had worked at Green Giant in Montgomery. Paul enjoyed helping on the family farm and bowling.

He is survived by a brother Fred (Amy) Marek, New Prague; three sisters Mary (Allen) McIntyre, Faribault, Carol Ehrhardt, Hopkins and Sandra Sevcik, Winona; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, Dec. 19, at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Redeemer Church in Montgomery, with Rev. Cory Rohlfing officiating.

Burial was at St. John Catholic Cemetery in Montgomery. Pallbearers were Jeremy Marek, Fred Marek, Jr., Matthew Marek, John Ehrhardt, Michelle Phelps and Bradley Marek.

Visitation was held at the Schoenbauer Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday morning at the funeral home prior to the service.
