Phyllis Schultz, 63

Phyllis K. Schultz, 63, of New Prague, died Thursday, May 14, 2009, at Queen of Peace Hospital in New Prague.

Phyllis was born in Minneapolis on April 7, 1946, a daughter of Elmer and Blanche (Ryan) Hoffbeck. She attended Lakeville Public Elementary and High School. She married Donald Schultz on April 8, 1972, at St. John the Baptist Church in Savage. She lived in Jordan for 10 years after marriage, then moved to New Prague in 1980. Phyllis was a homemaker and also served as a cashier at the Little Six Casino in Prior Lake.

She is survived by her husband; children Anthony (Laura) Schultz, New Prague, Lisa (Mike) Henderson, Rosemount, Pamela (and significant other Sigmund Mueller) Schultz, New Prague, Dana (and fiance Jamie Otterdahl) Schultz, New Prague, Stephen (Elizabeth) Schultz, Faribault and Theresa Schultz, New Prague; five grandchildren; siblings Jim (Kathy) Hoffbeck, Veseli, Bill Hoffbeck, Lakeville, Joe (Sue) Hoffbeck, Lakeville, John Hoffbeck, Lakeville and Virginia (John) Bickell, Burnsville; sister-in-law Linda Hoffbeck, Bloomington; and brother-in-law Ed Fritz, Apple Valley.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother Phillip Hoffbeck; and a sister Mary Ellen Fritz.

Funeral services were held Monday, May 18, at 10 a.m., at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in New Prague, with Rev. Kevin Clinton officiating.

Interment was at St. Wenceslaus Cemetery in New Prague. Pallbearers were Phyllis' six children.

Visitation was held from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday and 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. Monday at the Bruzek Funeral Home in New Prague.
