Playoff game suspended

The Section 2AA Football Quarterfinal Playoff game between No. 3 NRHEG and No. 6. WEM was postponed Tuesday, Oct. 25 and will resume Wednesday after lightning flashed over the field at 8:53 p.m. When there is lightning sighted, a 30 minute period of time needs to pass before play can continue. Lightning continued and approximately 10:15 p.m. officials decided to cancel the game until Wednesday at 7 p.m.WEM trailed 6-0 with 1:31 left in the contest. NRHEG had the ball on their own 43 yard line and was faced with a 4th down and nine yards to go situation.
