Pool reopens to public on Saturday
Get your goggles ready, the Olympic size TCU pool reopens to the public on Saturday.
After being closed for more than two months and having water temperatures lowered for swim meets and practices for the New Prague High School Swim Team, the heated pool reopens to the general public, starting with lap swim on Saturday, from 7:30 to 9 a.m.
The pool reopens with a slate of activities for the public to partake in. Some of them include lap swim hours, open swim dates and the return of the growing Water Polo group that meets on Wednesdays from 7 to 8 p.m. The pool also has basketball and volleyball and are working with coaches to have pool time for the school’s sports teams.
Other swimming opportunities include water workout/aquacise on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and swimming lessons (public and private). Mary Simon, of TCU Community Education, also reminds people that the pool is available for rental for private parties.
