Poplau says goodbye to district at final board meeting

The New Prague Area School Board met Monday, June 26. It was the last meeting for Superintendent Dr. Frankie Poplau, who is leaving the district after 12 years, the last seven as superintendent.

It was announced at the meeting that there would be an open house at the district office, at 111 West Main Street, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Thursday, June 29, where people can stop in and wish Poplau well as she prepares to say goodbye.

Poplau had the opportunity to address the board toward the end of the meeting, giving her thoughts as she prepares to leave.
