Postal Service to stop Saturday deliveries

The US Postal Service announced today that it will discontinue Saturday delivery to street addresses beginning in August. Mail will be delivered only Monday through Friday.

The postal service will continue to deliver packages and PO Boxes on Saturdays.  Post office locations that are currently open on Saturdays will remain open on Saturdays.

Discontinuing Saturday delivery is expected to save the Postal Service $2 billion annually.
