Public gets a look at regional park's future

Chuck Kajer, Managing Editor

About 75 people attended an open house Thursday, April 16, regarding Scott County's plans for an interim use for Cedar Lake Farm Regional Park.

The meeting was held at CreeksBend Golf Club, just south of Cedar Lake, and people were able to view a power point presentation on the history of the park and plans for its development. They also had a chance to ask questions about the park property.

According to information presented at the meeting, a private vendor, Lancer Hospitality, will operate the park this summer. Mark Themig, Scott County Parks and Trails Manager, said the park will have limited use for the first year.

We expect that starting in mid-June
