notice of hearing on the

proposed improvements to langford trail

to whom it may concern:

notice is hereby given that the Town Board of Cedar Lake Township, Scott County, Minnesota, will meet at the St. Patrick Social hall at 7:00 p.m. on April 5, 2005 to consider the bituminous paving portions of Langford Trail, all said improvements located within Cedar Lake Township, Scott County, State of Minnesota, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Sections 420.011 to 429.111. The area proposed to assessed are all those properties abutting or having access to Langford Trail, all located in Cedar Lake Township. The estimated cost of the improvement to Langford Trail is $196,086. A reasonable estimate of the impact of the assessment will be available at the hearing. Such persons as desire to be heard with reference to the proposed improvements will be heard at this meeting.

whereas, residents of Cedar Lake Township residing on Langford Trail have expressed an interest in having said road paved and the costs of said paving assessed back to the benefiting property owners; and

whereas, the Town Board sought to determine the estimated costs of paving said road by commissioning a feasibility study of the proposed project from Greg Halling of Halling Engineering, Inc., the Township’s Engineer. Mr. Halling was directed to report back to the Township with the feasibility study by March 1, 2005.

Whereas, Cedar Lake Township has received feasibility study prepared by Mr. Halling related to the cost to pave portions of Langford Trail, all said improvements located within Cedar lake Township, Scott County, State of Minnesota; and

now, therefore, be it resolved by the town board of cedar lake township, scott county, minnesota;

1. The Engineer’s feasibility studies are hereby received and accepted by the Town Board of Cedar Lake Township. The feasibility study for Langford Trail is attached hereto as Exhibit A.

2. A public hearing shall be held on said improvements on April 5, 2005 at 7:00 p.m., at the St. Patrick Social Hall and the clerk shall have mailed and published notice of such hearing and improvements as required by law.
