Raiders top Trojans, 24-16
The New Prague Trojan football team dropped to 1-3 on the season with a 24-6 loss to Northfield Friday, Sept. 22, in Northfield.
The Trojans blocked a Raider field goal attempt early, but couldn’t capitalize and the Raiders got the game’s first score late in the first quarter on a 15-yard touchdown pass. Northfield led 16-0 at the half and scored another touchdown in the third to go up 24-0.
New Prague got on the board late with a 4-yard touchdown pass to Carter Seymour to make the final score 24-6.
New Prague travels to Mankato West for a 7 p.m. game Friday, Sept. 29. The Scarlets, rated No. 3 in Class AAAAA, lost to Winona (No. 1, Class AAAA) 38-13 Friday and are 3-1 on the season.
