Ray Dornfeld, 84

   Ray Dornfeld, 84, Montgomery, died Tuesday, October 9, 2012, at St. Francis Regional Medical Center.

   Ray was born on April 15, 1928, in Morton to Albert and Blanche (Drury) Dornfeld.

   He married Lillian Haus on September 21, 1950, in Morton. He was enlisted in the United States Marines  and served from 1946 to 1947, and in the United States Army and served  from 1951 to 1952.

   Ray was a member of the American Legion. He farmed near Lonsdale from 1967 to 1991 and enjoyed fishing, card playing with fellow Legion members, and farming.

   Ray is survived by his wife; son, Richard Dornfeld of Lonsdale and his fiancé Shelly Murphy of Cannon Falls; daughter, Carol Dornfeld, Montgomery; grandchildren, Nicole, Jeff, Kelly, Sara, Joe and Melissa; great-grandchildren, Gabriel, Peyton, Traci and Sienna;  brother Willard (Judy) Dornfeld, Savage.

   He was preceded in death by his parents and son, William.

   Visitation was held Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012, from 8 a.m.  to 10 a.m. at Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, Montgomery. A funeral Mass was held at the church after visition on Saturday.

   Interment was held at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Lonsdale.

   Military honors were provided by the Montgomery area Veterans Honor Guard.

            Arrangements were with Schoenbauer Funeral Home, Montgomery.
