Raymond Malecha, 81

 Raymond T. Malecha, 81, of Lonsdale, died Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2012, at his home, surrounded by his family. Ray served his country in the U.S. Army, and was a member of the L o n s d a l e American Legion Post, where he was a past commander. He was also a member of the Catholic Workman. Ray was a lifelong farmer and also worked as an insurance agent and a Webster Township supervisor. He is survived by his wife of 56 years Adeline; children Shirley (Jim) Pelant, Gary (Rhonda), Peter, Nancy (Dale) Kalina, Martin (Lila) Malecha and Rose (Mike) Tema; grandchildren Jeff Pelant, Diana (Brian) Connelly, Adam Kalina, Darin Kalina, Betsy Malecha, Austin Tema and Abby Tema; siblings Fred (Jean) Malecha, Chuck (Nancy) Malecha and Blanche Malecha; brother-in-law Albert Feldman; and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Joe F. and Mary Malecha; children Paul and Diane Malecha; grandson Matt Pelant; siblings George Malecha, Martha Quinnell, Rita Feldman and Peggy Puncochar. Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10 a.m., Monday, Oct. 1, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Lonsdale. Interment was at the Calvary Cemetery in Lonsdale, with military honors by Lonsdale American Legion Post 586. Visitation was held Sunday from 2 to 7 p.m. at the the Civic Center adjacent to the church, and for one hour on Monday prior to the service. Arrangements were with the White Funeral Home in Lonsdale.
