Redbirds swim hard in St. Peter
Missing several key swimmers due to illness hurt the Montgomery-Lonsdale/New Prague Swim Team when they competed against the St. Peter Saints, Tuesday, Oct. 4.
“The team was very tired (home coming weekend), but the Redbirds squad swam hard in St. Peter. What especially hurt us was the absence of Jenna Baer,” said Coach Josh Franz. “However, the Redbirds scored well in several events, specifically they made a strong showing in diving, the 100 breast stroke, and the 50 freestyle. Also, several younger girls got their first taste of varsity competition and showed they liked it by posting seasons best times.”
