Reopening of Hwy 13 south of Hwy 99 delayed to Monday

The reopening of State Highway 13 south of Highway 99 in Le Sueur County has been delayed due to a minor setback in the project. The project was scheduled to reopen by Saturday, Oct. 15, but has now been delaysed to late on Monday, Oct. 17.
Crews are closing in on completing repair work to a failing slope. The Highway has been detoured since September 6.
The project includes excavating an area just north of LeSueur County Road 138 where the road settled due to poor underlying soils. Crews replaced the poor soils with a light-weight geofoam material to prevent future sinking.
Raw Construction of Faribault is the contractor on the $450,000 project.
