Residents check out design plans for CR 86

An open house for area residents to review plans for reconstruction of Scott/Rice County Road 86 east of New Prague was well-attended.

Approximately 47 people attended the open house, held at the Elko New Market Area Hall on Thursday, Nov. 29. Representatives from Scott and Rice counties were at the hearing to present information and answer questions about the project, scheduled to take place in 2009.

County Road 86 forms the county line between Scott and Rice counties, which is why both counties are involved with the project.
