Richard E. Sticha, 75
Richard E. Sticha, 75, of Elko, died on Wednesday, June 22, 2005, at his home.
He was born in Wheatland Township, Rice County, on April 11, 1930, to Emil and Albina (Krocak) Sticha. Raised in Veseli, he attended Most Holy Trinity Catholic School in Veseli and New Prague High School.
Richard was married to Mary Kaderlik on September 11, 1952, in Montgomery. He farmed in rural Elko and retired about seven years ago. He was also employed for 25 years at Harvestore constructing silos.
He is survived by his wife; two sons and two daughters, Richard J. Sticha, Kilkenny, Connie Boysen, Burnsville, Marilyn (Kenneth) Vosejpka, Lonsdale, Ronald (Jayne) Sticha, Savage; mother, Albina Sticha, Faribault; brother, Daniel Sticha, Veseli; 14 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father; son, Roger Sticha; sister-in-law, Sylvia Sticha.
Visitation was from 9 to 11 a.m. at Bruzek Funeral Home in New Prague on Saturday.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in New Prague. Rev. George Freeman officiated.
Pallbearers were his grandchildren, Dan, Jill, Kristen, Leah, Joel, Sarah and Alex Sticha, David Boysen, Cindy Vander Schaaff, Jenny Woratschka, Malissa Hall, Monica Skluzacek, Jessica and Jayne Ann Vosejpka.
