Road conditions are worsening in the New Prague area.

As of 5:30 p.m., the Minnesota Department of Transportation is advising no travel on State Highway 19 east of Highway 13 through Cannon Falls due to road conditions.  Road conditions on other highways in the area are only marginally better, as roads are completely covered with snow, with drifting and ice on bridge decks. 

Snow is expected to continue throughout the evening, tapering off after midnight.
