Rollover sends one to hospital
Two people from Montgomery suffered non-life-threatening injuries in a two-vehicle rollover in Montgomery on Friday morning, April 22.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Gary Stevens, 48, was driving a 2006 Chevrolet HHR east on Highway 21 and crossed the center line, striking a westbound 2008 Ford Ranger driven by Emy Dappen, 52. The accident occurred at the south of Seneca Foods, at the intersection of Highway 21 and Le Sueur County Road 3 (Fifth Street).
The crash caused both vehicles to roll into the north ditch around 7:45 a.m. in Montgomery.
According to the report, Stevens was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the accident and was taken to Mayo Clinic Health System Hospital in New Prague. Dappen, who was wearing her seatbelt, was treated for non-life threatening injures at the scene.
The Montgomery Fire and Ambulance assisted the Le Sueur County Sheriff’s Department and the Minnesota State Patrol at the scene.
