Rosemarie B. Nytes, 80

Rosemarie B. Nytes, 80, of New Prague, died Thursday, Sept. 14, 2006, at her home.

Born August 20, 1926 in Almena, WI, she was a daughter of Math and Anna (Suennen) Schoenecker. She was raised in Almena, and attended Wisconsin Public Schools. Rosemarie worked in Minneapolis, met her husband in Union Hill and married and raised her family in the New Prague area. She married Leander F. Nytes on October 24, 1950 at St. John's Catholic Church in Union Hill. Her husband preceded her in death on March 2, 2002.

Rosemarie was a member of the St. Wenceslaus CCW, Card Club, Mittens To Go and Mission Sewing. She loved to sew and play cards.

She is survived by children, Edward G. (Shari) Nytes, New Prague, Judy A. (Mike) Lucas, Leland, NC, Bob R. (Alice) Nytes, New Prague and Mary A. Schwankl, St. Cloud; a brother, Walter (Betty) Schoenecker, Buffalo, NY; sister-in-law, Geri Schoenecker, Cameron, WI; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a brother, Adolph Buddy Schoenecker; and two sisters, Loretta Shillito and Adelaide Liberty.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Sept. 19 at 10 a.m. at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in New Prague, with Rev. Kevin Clinton officiating. Interment was at St. Wenceslaus Cemetery, New Prague. Pallbearers were George Ruhland, Jean Johnson, Rick Johnson, Julie Widiker, Mike Schoenecker and Tom Schoenecker.

Visitation was held Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. and from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Bruzek Funeral Home in New Prague, with a CCW rosary held Monday at 7 p.m.
