Rybak to leave New Prague Schools

New Prague Area Schools' Director of Operations Tim Rybak will be leaving the district to take a position with the Elk River School District, beginning December 20.

He will have some familiar faces in Elk River. The superintendent is Dr. Mark Bezek, former New Prague High School principal, and another member of the administrative team is Randy Anderson, formerly the district's finance director. The Elk River school district has a total enrollment of about 12,500 students, compared to approximately 3,500 in New Prague's.

School Board members were aware that Rybak was planning to resign, but as of Tuesday's board workshop they had not received an official resignation. Rybak confirmed to The Times in an email Wednesday that he would be leaving.

He is the second member of the district's administrative team to leave in the past month. Donna Friedmann, the district's Human Resource Director, has taken a job with the Forest Lake School District.
