Rynda’s double propels Post 79 to win

Joe Rynda's bases loaded double, scoring three runs, with two outs in the bottom of the seventh inning, capped a Montgomery Post 79 rally with an exciting 6-5 victory over Kenyon-Wannamingo on Tuesday, July 2 at Memorial Park.  
Kenyon took a 3-0 lead in the top of the third inning on three singles and a double.  Montgomery fought back and tied the score in the fourth on singles by Nathan Rosier, Aaron Dwyer, Joe Kalina and a double by Joe Rynda. 
In the top of the sixth inning, Kenyon scored two runs giving them a two run cushion at 5-3.  
In the bottom of the seventh, Cole Pint led off with a single.  After the next two hitters were retired, Robbie D'Amato and Nathan Rosier walked to load the bases. Joe Rynda then stepped to the plate and with a two strike count, hit the ball to the base of the center field fence scoring all three runners to win the game 6-5.  
Trevor Smisek started on the mound for Montgomery pitching 5 2/3 innings giving up five runs on six hits, walking four and striking out nine.  Ryan Thompson completed the final 1 1/3 innings retiring all four hitters he faced and came away with the win.  
Leading hitters for Montgomery were Joe Rynda going three for four with two doubles, Cole Pint with a single and a double.  Ryan Iverson, Nathan Rosier, Aaron Dwyer and Joe Kalina each had singles in the win.
