School activity signup goes online
New Prague High School athletes will utilize a new online registration system when signing up for activities beginning with the fall season.
“Beginning with the 2013- 14 school year, the New Prague Activities Department will no longer require students to turn in numerous paper forms,” said Activities Director Brad Skogerboe. A new activities website has been created and will be launched on Monday, July 29, via the school district’s website, www.np.k12.mn.us
Registration will be done online using Sport Ngin, a platform that is familiar to many people involved in sports, as it is used by several youth associations in the community.
Skogerboe said the login information people have used for these other associations will be the same for the Trojan Activities registration. Those who are unfamiliar with Sport Ngin will be asked to create a username/password before starting the registration process.
A link to the new website will be provided on the High School and Middle School webpages. Registration will open during the morning of July 29.
The only paper form that will need to be turned in is a physical. The physical must be updated every three years. If anyone is uncertain about the date of their son or daughter’s last physical, they can call the activities office starting July 29 at 952-758-1226.
All other forms can be filled out online and payment of activity fees can be made online using Visa, Mastercard or Discover. Fees for most sports are $165 a year for high school activities and $90 for grades 7-8. Payments can also be made by mail or by dropping a check off at the activities office.
In addition to registration, the Athletic Passes can also be purchased online at the district website beginning Monday, Aug. 5. For more information contact the activities office.
The fall sports season begins at New Prague High School with practices on Monday, Aug. 12. Fall sports offered at the school include football, soccer and cross country for boys and volleyball, soccer, cross country, tennis and swimming and diving for girls.
