School Board set to approve 2016-17 budget
The New Prague Area School Board meets at 6 p.m. Monday, June 27, and is scheduled to give approval to the preliminary budget for the 2016-17 fiscal year, which begins July 1.
The preliminary budget calls for $38.9 million in general fund revenues and $41.7 million in expenditures for the 2016-17 school year. Both numbers are up from the previous year, but the new budget will dip into the fund balance the district has built up over the last few years.
