School levy vote is today

 
Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 7, for the New Prague Area School District’s operating levy referendum. 
The District is asking voters to approve an operating levy of $246.70 per pupil, which is a renewal of the current $146.70 and an increase of $100. The current levy was approved in 2012 for five years and expires next year. The money will go toward educational programming and staffing. 
Polling places include:
the New Prague Central Education Campus gym (for residents of the City of New Prague and Belle Plaine, Derrynane and Lanesburgh townships);
St. Patrick Social Hall (residents of Helena and Cedar Lake townships),
Eagle View Elementary School gym in Elko New Market (residents of the City of Elko New Market and New Market Township),
Wheatland Town Hall in Veseli, (Wheatland, Webster, Erin and Forest townships) and
the Lonsdale City Hall (City of Lonsdale, in conjunction with that city’s elections).
