Scott Co. offers severe weather information
Severe weather season is underway, as Scott County residents have experienced the last few weeks. Experts were predicting that 2005 will be an active season for severe weather.
Tim O’Laughlin, Scott County Emergency Management Director, says there are some basic rules each family should follow if they are to be safe, and their property damage kept to a minimum.
Spotters on duty
When a weather watch or a warning is issued for Scott County, it causes approximately 200 trained weather spotters to be activated from the SAFCOM division of the Sheriff’s Office, firefighters from each community, police departments and volunteer ambulance services. These folks are out there anytime of the day or night protecting your community
