Scott County 4-H adopts military unit

The Scott County 4-H'ers have adopted military unit, 34th Infantry Red Bulls. The unit is stationed in Bassara, Iraq until February. The 4-H'ers have been sending care packages, letters and pictures supporting their troops.

In June the kindergarten through fifth graders decorated and filled care packages that will go to 35 troops. They also had a marine come in and talk to them about his experience in Iraq and how important sending letters of support and care packages are to the troops.

4-H is looking for ways to support military families at home.
