Scott County approves corridor for future CSAH 8 extension

The Scott County Board of commissioners approved the findings and recommendations of the County-State Aid Highway 8 study committee to designate a corridor for a future extension of both County Road 8 and County Road 64 to meet with US Highway 169. The vote was 4-1, with Commissioner Joe Wagner, who represents the area, voting against.

The committee had been meeting since last July, and had a number of public hearings. the right-of-way preservation area for the most part follows section lines, and the option chosen was the one preferred by most of the area townships.
