Scott County Historical Society seeks kitchen and food-related items
The Scott County Historical Society is actively collecting kitchen and food preparation items from Scott County to prepare for an upcoming exhibit, and to expand their collection.
Any items are welcome. Some examples of the items we are look for include…
• grandma’s old wooden spoon
• old spice tins – (you know, the ones way in the back of the cupboard)
• recipe books
• handwritten recipe cards
• aprons
• ethnic and culturally significant cookware
• photos of County residents eating, cooking, BBQing, at picnics…
• the kitchen sink?
Items can be from any period from early 19th century to present day.
